Week one for reading we read
The Tunnel by Anthony Browne.
It is a story about a brother and sister who argue all the time. Their mother sends them out to play together and they discover a
tunnel. The brother crawls through the tunnel ignoring his sister’s protests, and ends up in a magical forest. When her brother
does not return, Rose follows him into the tunnel and finds him turned
to stone.

Everytime we read the book and looked at the pictures we found more interesting things-
- stereotyping
- how the pictures showed feelings
- not knowing the children's names till the very end
- brother and sister relationships
- making decisions......
